We (Brendan and Bobbie) have different interests, experiences and skills - as do all couples – but wanted to integrate that into a single source. This website is that source. Wolffstead is obviously a play on homestead, which has exploded in popularity post Covid, and that is not a coincidence. Many people want to get back to the roots of what is important in this life, and working the soil and working our interior life is at the heart of it. Our society has become sickly in many ways, and for this reason we have prayed to God for years to help us in our mission, or apostolate, to work together as a family to share what we know to provide information that is interesting, educational and of value to others while, hopefully, helping to support our family as we continue to learn and grow. We are truly on a journey in which we hope the final destination is the Kingdom of God, but in the meantime we need to navigate through the fiefdoms here on earth.
Bobbie Marie's apostolate through Mons Carmeli is to integrate her passion for Catholic mystical theology and biblical health coaching to help others (especially women) in their spiritual and health journeys. Brendan's goals with Adhemar's Adventure include utilizing his teaching background to clarify some misunderstood and maligned history as it pertains to Christianity. We both share information and thoughts on Musings. We decided to do the one website because our goals for the family economy are united in a single purpose, and that purpose is to do God's will now through our respective callings. Our young boys deserve good food for their bodies and good soil under their fingernails. So do your kids. Along the way may God also grant us all good sustenance for the soul.
We are not social media people. This site is the only source where we have made our material available and where we can be reached. We would rather reach one person at a time who shares a similar vision to us regarding spiritual and physical wellness than cater to the undiferentiated "masses" by the shotgun media approach. That's were you can help. We're not interested in clicks and likes and pushing advertisers products, but do want to produce value to God and man.
