The Vision
The only part of the homestead scenario laid out on The Land that is currently real is that we own property that was at one time part of a large ranch. But that's a start. A very good start. We don't currently live on the property but in another state a better part of a day's drive away. We are not alone with some version of our vision. Not by a long shot. Homesteading and other 'get back to the roots' movements are exploding in popularity and for good reason: our food, lifestyle, medicine, etc. is not making us healthier but sicker over time. It should be very clear now that big gov, big food, big pharm, and big med have not been working in our best interest over the decades but theirs. Many of us got a wake up call before or during the Covid fiasco and are a little bit more clear-eyed, but there are still plenty of others who still trust the powers-that-be. Hopefully there is still time to take the blinders off.
We all need to have worthy goals to strive for and on this website Brendan and Bobbie Marie Wolff will catalog our journey as we try to take more responsibility for our family's health and to develop and pursue the unique talents and skills God has given to us to share with others. Bobbie Marie's apostolate through Mons Carmeli is to integrate her passion for Catholic mystical theology and biblical health coaching to help others (especially women) in their spiritual and health journeys. Brendan's goals with Adhemar's Adventure include utilizing his teaching background to clarify some misunderstood and maligned history as it pertains to the Catholic Church. We both share information and thoughts on Musings. We decided to do one website because our goals for the family economy are united in a single purpose, and that purpose is to do God's will now through our respective callings in order to also do God's will later by sharing the fruit of labor from our future regenerative farm. Our young boys deserve good food for their bodies and good soil under their fingernails. So do your kids. Along the way may God also grant us all good sustenance for the soul.
